Digital cameras with a SD memory card or PDA smart phones can quickly produce photos that can be transferred onto social media sites quickly. It is recommended to take low resolution pictures for social media profiles because of the file size. A smaller file size of picture reduces the time to upload, download, and preview. Use Microsoft Image Resizer to quickly resize large file size pictures to smaller file sizes. Also, it is recommended to properly organize photos into a picture file folder system to quickly retrieve photos and rename photos specific to the picture description prior to uploading to the web.
